Vince Pirozzi is highly skilled and dedicated Addiction Counsellor with more than a decade of experience working with individuals and families affected by substance use disorders. His professional background spans both inpatient residential treatment and outpatient addiction rehab. This experience gives him a broad understanding of the challenges people face at every stage of recovery. For the past five years, Vince has served as Pacific Interventions’ Lead Outpatient Counsellor. His therapeutic practice focused on providing individual substance use counselling and clinical supervision to other members of the outpatient team. Prior to joining the Pacific Interventions team, he worked in residential addiction treatment programs and held leadership positions within that organization. Vince has litterally helped hundreds of individuals build a healthy and sustainable life in recovery.

Vince completed the Vancouver Community College Mental Health & Addiction Certificate Program and earned the Addiction Medicine Diploma through the British Columbia Centre on Substance Use. He has a strong interest in the science of addiction and is particularly knowledgeable about the neurological effects of alcohol and drug use on the brain. He believes that understanding how addiction affects thinking, behaviour, emotions, and decision-making can help people make sense of their experiences and engage more effectively in treatment. Staying current with emerging research is an important part of Vince’s practice. He regularly follows developments in addiction medicine, neuroscience, and evidence-based treatment approaches to ensure the support he provides reflects current knowledge and best practices.

In addition to his clinical work, Vince has volunteered with Vancouver’s East End Boys Club, supporting programs that provide mentorship and positive opportunities for marginalized youth.

Our outpatient participants appreciate Vince’s straightforward and practical approach. He believes recovery is different for every person and that lasting change is built through honesty, accountability, and a willingness to try something different. One of the most rewarding parts of his work is seeing someone reach a point where they begin to believe that recovery is possible and start building a life they are proud of.
