What Our Interventionists Do

Wondering what an alcohol and drug interventionist will do to help? Our interventionist will seek to gather as much information as possible about your situation, find an appropriate addiction treatment program, and then formulate a plan to overcome your loved one’s resistance to change, so they can finally get the help needed to stop the pattern of alcohol or drug use. The initial consultation is the first part of that information-gathering process. These communications can determine whether an addiction intervention is the right course of action for your family.

What Our Addiction Counselling Team Does

The addiction counselling specialist provides the healing guidance and direction for individuals struggling with addiction. They start by getting to know the participant’s life history. Once they understand the challenges this individual has faced, the addiction counsellor can formulate a personal treatment plan. Once these are in place, the participant, along with their counselling support, can move into various therapeutic approaches. This helps stabilize patterns of use and also brings physical and psychological balance. This counselling may take place in an inpatient residential facility locally in Vancouver, or elsewhere depending on individual requirements. There is also an outpatient addiction rehab option, where treatment is provided without leaving home.
